Dental Nurse

Position type: Full-time Dental Nurse
Komar University of Science and Technology (KUST) is looking for a Dental Nurse in Dentistry Department according to the following requirements, set of skills, competencies and abilities:
Position Title: Dental Nurse
Reporting to: Director of the Dental Clinics and Labs
Position Type: Full-time Appointment
Duty Station: Sulaymaniyah
Working hours: 35 Hours- 5 days/Week (Normally 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Saturday to Thursday)
Probation Period: one semester
Application Deadline: The application will continue until the position is filled.
Responsibilities:
1.Preparing the labs by providing the necessary materials and items required for
each lab and consulting with the junior/senior dental lab assistant or the
instructor of the lab regarding the required items for each lab.
2.Preparing the clinics, dental chairs and providing the necessary items for each
clinic.
3.Checking the stock of the items and directing reporting back to the junior/senior
dental lab assistants regarding the needed items for each clinic or lab so that it
can be ordered from the main store.
4.Assisting the cleaning of the instruments, devices and tools in the labs and
clinics, and preparing them for sterilization whenever required.
5.Switching off any non-required electrical source at the end of each lab and
clinics such as the dental chairs, phantom units, devices and lights.
6.Retuning the chairs/stools into the correct position at the end of each lab.
7.Checking and keeping the labs and clinics clean and safe, directing reporting of
any harmful incident to the supervisors of the labs and clinics.
8.Checking the working zone in each lab and clinic, making sure the students are
following the correct infection control protocol.
9.Maintaining the inventory at the beginning and the end of each semester by
cooperating with the dental lab assistants and reporting back to the store
supervisor.
10.Participate in KUST activities.
11.Perform any other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum Diploma degree
- Native Kurdish language speaker
- Ability to communicate effectively in English is preferable
- Excellent verbal and written communication and Interpersonal skills
- Good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
